“The Open Day will see us opening the doors of our Lab (for the first time at this location!) and showcasing all the awesome programmes, courses, people and platforms that make up who we are. It’s the no-strings chance to meet some of our team and get a sneak peek at what it’s like to learn with The Mind Lab and Tech Futures Lab.
Trust us, it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.
From 10am through to 12:30pm enjoy a glass of bubbles (or juice!) and wander around the various programme stalls to learn more about what we offer here from the people who are most passionate about it. Pop into one of our 20-minute workshops to learn a new skill or hear from current students about their learning experience. And don’t come alone – bring a friend, a colleague or a family member and discover innovative and future-focused learning together.”

The day marked the first event in the Basque Park Summer Series , brought to life by Uptown business Anya Vitali Creative Services and local Celia Ruane , whose passion for community and creativity transformed the park into a lively hub for connection and fun. From the natural amphitheatre to the winding paths and shady trees, Basque Park came alive with neighbours, furry friends, and whānau enjoying the eclectic mix of performances and activities. Summer is just beginning and we can’t wait to see everyone back at Basque Park for the next events - so grab your picnic blanket, bring your whānau, and soak up the Uptown vibes!
