My project aims to retain the character in Uptown, by creating a vibrant and accessible neighbourhood beside the new station, with a focus on community driven regenerative gardening.
The future goal is for this garden to expand across the full site, to reduce carbon emissions and localise food production.
“Sensing Urban City” in Uptown, aims to design a “sensing city” that adapts to 100 years in the future in Uptown. Smell, eat, watch, touch, listen…it’s a city that makes you enjoy using the five senses to the fullest extent.
The significance of this project lies in its exploration of the area’s circulation and movement, considering both historical and future perspectives. Uptown is known for its vibrant atmosphere and bustling pedestrian activity.

The combination of a design school, public exhibition space, and private hire-able studios provides many opportunities for individuals to be creative but also allows people from outside the community to hire spaces and exhibit work.
