Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre helps children and adults communicate, connect, and express themselves through the proven benefits of music therapy. Their programmes support wellbeing, developmental progress, and meaningful interaction for people with diverse or complex needs. Founded in 2004 and inspired by the life-changing impact of music therapy on Hinewehi Mohi’s daughter, the Centre continues to champion the power of music as a tool for connection and expression.
Based in Grafton, Raukatauri plays an important role in the wider community by providing accessible music therapy across Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Northland and the Far North. Alongside onsite and satellite services, the Centre partners with more than 70 schools, hospitals, and community organisations, ensuring individuals can receive music therapy directly in their classrooms, homes, and care settings. Through these partnerships, Raukatauri strengthens community wellbeing and brings meaningful support to those who need it most.
